for my fellow girls who are going for natural childbirth!

Before I go to bed, may I please just say that I cannot believe that midwifery is illegal in 14 states in this country!
If you have any interest, go to this site and see the documentary, The Business of Being Born in its entirety FOR FREE: http://quicksilverscreen.com/watch?video=45525
Though you might not be able to make it full screen, the film is well worth it.

Thumbs up!!!

I only wish I had seen this before my first pregnancy. I did manage a "natural" childbirth (in that I didn't have pain meds) in the end, but with way more interventions than I would've liked (esp yucky Pitocin) and didn't know how to prevent.

Best to you and your swiftly approaching baby day. (everybody else's due dates come faster than mine. grr)

hahaha
diber when are you due?
today i am trying to remain calm as i write out my list of questions for the midwives as i meet them...not nervewracking at all...i wish!

I cannot believe that midwifery is illegal in 14 states, but am so incredibly grateful that women are gutsy enough to defy the establishment and practice it beautifully anyway.

I KNOW! Isn't it maddening (about midwifry being illegal)?!!? Blows my mind.

My technical EDD is May 29. I insist it will be any day. ;-) I've been prelaboring for weeks.

D,
what does prelaboring mean, exactly?
Feeling tight and achy? Like BH contractions?

Hang in there!!! Little m is going to be here soon enough. I am wishing you a slippery, smooth-sailing birth...:)
